Harold's Cross is a suburb in south Dublin. It is bordered on the north by the Grand Canal, on the east by Rathmines (   • Rathmines Buses | May 2024  ), and to the south and west by Kimmage (   • Kimmage Buses | July 2023  ). One of the main roads out of the city passes through the area, which divides at Harold's Cross Park. This means a number of buses routes use this road, which also divide at the park as they head south. The easterly side is used by route 16 to Ballinteer and by route 49 to Tallaght, while the westerly side is used by route 9 to Limekiln and route 54A to Kiltipper. It is proposed under Bus Connects to send the three routes of the F-Spine on the westerly route, and just one radial route left to serve the easterly side. The southern part of Harold's Cross is served by routes 83, 83A and S2 as they pass between Kimmage and Rathmines.

There is some bus variety in Harold's Cross as routes 16 and 54A are often operated by the older EV Class. GT, PA and SG types make up the rest of the bus types featured. All the routes are operated by Dublin Bus.
