tyFlow Tutorial: Ripple Waves & Custom Properties in 3Ds Max | RedefineFX

In this new 3Ds Max tutorial we're making loopable waves using the Ripple Space Warp & tyFlow.

First, we create a plane with a lot of segments, then add the ripple space warp in 3Ds Max to create the waves (it is also a great way to fake a liquid simulation for simple effects like water drop ripple and so on). Then we're using tyFlow to generate particles only on the vertices of the plane, and an object bind operator to make them stick to the surface. We also cover Scale by Proximity to make the cubes get smaller as they go lower & some custom properties to change their color by size. This is a beginner-friendly visual effects tyflow tutorial that you can follow even if you're new to tyFlow and 3Ds Max. Check out over 100 More VFX tutorials on the main RedefineFX channel:
