In light of 7 of Donald Trump's cabinet selections being worth over a combined $11 billion dollars, I am posting a video of a speech I gave last year as a volunteer for Represent.Us, an organization dedicated to removing the corrosive influence of big money in politics. Donald Trump promised to 'drain the swamp' of lobbyists and special interests, but he is draining the swamp right into his own cabinet.
Since this speech in Nov 2015, our small group of volunteers in San Francisco helped put a comprehensive anti-corruption measure on the ballot, Prop T, which passed in Nov 2016 in with over 87% approval, a wider margin than any SF ballot measure in the last 23 years.
