This is my first music video ever, and it truly came together at the last minute thanks to some incredible people. Huge thank you to @Hankweaver218 and Nick Alheit for pulling this entire video together in just two days.

Event Santa Cruz reached out on December 26th, asking me to submit a music video by January 3rd to be featured in New Music January. That was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up, so I went for it. I actually met Hank the night of the 26th at a last-minute gig I played at Woodhouse Brewery in Santa Cruz, and I messaged him the very next day to see if he had any time to record a quick music video before the 3rd. Thankfully, he had an opening in his schedule, and we met on 12/28 to brainstorm ideas.

Hank brought along his coworker/friend to help record, and we started filming on 12/29, beginning at 7am in Davenport for the water scenes. Mind you, it was the first frost of the season, and I was floating in that dress in the water for about 10 minutes to get those drone and water shots. I have never been so cold in my life getting out of the water haha! It was about 40 degrees, but totally worth it.

We recorded all day, and my friend Harrison stepped in with just one day’s notice to help get the motorcycle shots (he’s actually a great guy, I swear haha). We filmed straight through sunset. The next day, we met around 1pm and recorded through sunset again—and just two days later, Hank had the entire video finished to perfection.

While all of this was happening, my producer Justin James Jayankura was mixing and mastering the song to prep it for release, and we ended up having everything finished by 1/2. I am beyond grateful for everyone who came together to make this video happen. It has truly been one of the best experiences of my life.

Not to mention, we somehow got two perfect, sunny, windless winter days right before a storm rolled in. The stars truly aligned :)
