How I Make Custom Leather Hat Patches

I recently had a custom order for some leather hat patches. This was a great opportunity to show the process that I go through when I make them. For this project, I used some Veg Tan leather that the client picked out.
I find that Veg Tan leather usually engraves and cuts the best. I have used a few different types of leather, but this type has produced the best results for me. If you have any questions, let me know!

• Laser specs: 60-watt Epilog Fusion Edge
• Raster Engraving: 500DPI, 80% speed, 20%
• Vector Cutting: 20% speed, 90% power, 60% frequency
