Recipe:
562 gr. of flour 00
2 gr. of yeast
1 1/2 tsp. of anise seed
1 1/4 tsp. salt
240-250 ml. of warm water
Proceed by making a well in your bowl
add the yeast, anice seed to this add the water in the center
add your salt and finish with the water
the dough must take a very dry and hard elastic appearance
knead till you get this, till you get a smooth surface
place a clear wrap and then a clean towel and let
it rise for at least 1 hours, (make sure 1 hour only)
form your ciambelle, (follow as per above for the skirt )
this recipe will give you 3 small 6 inch or 2 larger ones
then have your water boiling so you drop the ciambelle in and take them out place on a cookie rack you will be baking these on it.
Place in a ventilated oven if you don't have one then use a baking pan filled with water on the bottom rack , this will help them get golden and for a small crust.
