Hello! Here is my second tutorial on this channel! :) I am showing you how to color a very realistic looking egg.
The book used is: Romantic Country by Eriy
I am not very happy with how the egg in the video looks like, as the transition from dark to light is a bit harsh, but I am confident that if you follow the general guidelines of how I colored such a 3D egg, you can have a result that is closer to the rest of my eggs, which were colored off-camera.
I used Polychromos pencils. However, no matter what brand, you can use one medium color or two pencils in a color in two shades (one lighter and one darker). Don't forget to also grab one or more black/grey pencils for the shadow laid by the egg.
If you are using Polychromos be prepared to layer and layer and layer and then blend and blend and blend. I recommend you at the end to burnish the paper to get a glossy look.
Please leave a comment with your feedback and also if you would like me to make any other tutorials, I am open to suggestions. Please stay kind and considerate!
Hope my tutorial helped you and I wish you all a Happy Easter!
