💫一个人想成就佛，
If a person aspires to be a Buddha,
必须要守戒。
they must observe the precepts. 
当你克制自己的私欲去帮助别人时，
When you are able to control your desires and you go and help others,
你就拥有了戒道。
you have mastered the Way of Discipline.

当一个人起心动念时，
When a person gives rise to thoughts,
其实你已经在用因果做自己的行为了，
they have already taken action following their karma.
因果非常地严厉，
Hence, the law of karma is very serious.
它是一个挥之不去的阴影。
Karma is like the shadow that never leaves us.

人傻就傻在想不通，
Our weakness lies in our inability to see through the reality of things.
拼命地往里边去钻，
We keep digging deeper and deeper into a problem,
拼命地去想，
spending all our time thinking about it. 
起心动念每天在犯戒之中。
But we break our precepts whenever we give rise to thoughts.
