Our Summer Camp in China with UIBE (University of International Business and Economics). On the fifth day we went straight off to a museum to have the cultural knowledge of the foundation of Shanghai in the early times. We heard a lot about it’s maritime culture and early times traditions. After another amazing lunch, we went straight to The Bund. We got amazed and awestruck by it’s skyline, took close to a million pictures, and headed to the side of the Nanjing Road that meets the bund.
We spent the afternoon around Wukang Road exploring the area, and I had the most lovely time just taking the opportunity to spend some time with myself after all the reflexions I had made earlier, and doing what I love the most: meticulously search vintage shops for designer items and interesting choices. However, my most interesting find at that day was the Paper Moon bookshop, when I found a caffe in the back, asked about a Patti Smith book I was after, found out it was a bookshop mainly focused on women authors and had the most interesting chat with the owner on gender equality and ways to silence women’s writing; to a 10/10 espresso.
We went out exploring at night searching for wilderness and alcohol, but ended up having the best time at one of the most interesting places you can go in another country: the supermarket.
At the end of the night, it all led to Eldorado. As it usually does.
