We took our Subaru WRX STi out of its comfort zone and into the wild—with a full roof top tent setup and roof rack dialed in for car camping. This definitely isn’t your typical overland build, but it proves you don’t need a lifted rig to find a quiet campsite and enjoy the outdoors.

From cruising the pavement to setting up camp by the river, we put our Subaru WRX roof rack and tent to the test. Whether you're into Subaru camping, car camping setups, or just want to see what’s possible with a race-inspired platform, this video is for you.

The STi: What started as a daily quickly became a project car. After a few modifications like wheels, tires and coilovers the project quickly grew. Now being built as a daily drivable racecar the STi, called Project Daily, now has a full COBB protune, TGV deletes, 3in turbo back exhaust, IAG Performance AOS, Tomei and SPT intake, BC Racing coilovers and a custom interior with wrapped headliner and blacked out pillars. When it's not having fun it's on the streets it's out at the track.
