SEASON 4 | EPISODE 7 | THE SABINE

THE SABINE RIVER IS BACK! The all so famous fishery, known for, SMALL BASS!! Although the fish were small, this was one of the most fun events of the year so far, and by the far the closest race for the blue trophy with the field separated by ounces. We climbed the leaderboard starting in 90th all the way to the top and man was it a wild ride!

Welcome back to The Cut Line. The Drew's take on the infamous Sabine River in East Texas in this episode, a body of water that spans for MILES in every direction. This river system offers an endless variety of habitats and ways to catch them back in shallow water around cypress trees, grass lines, lily pads, and even hard structure like docks, boats, etc. Water temps were in the high 80's throughout the week which provided perfect conditions for post spawn fishing but proved to be a very tough and slow bite, causing us to pick up some finesse style baits, and pick the bank apart.
