Lucas/Brooke/Nathan - Always

Ok...long story with this one! If you know the quote from the beginning then you'll have a good headstart on figuring this one out & could probably guess the ending.

So, this video is kind of based on the musical 'Blood Brothers' - which is amazing btw, though only one aspect of it. Lucas, Brooke & Nathan grew up together & were always really close. Lucas and Brooke were together and she got pregnant & Lucas decided to marry her and have the baby, giving up a lot of his youth. However many years later, Lucas is in the middle of a breakdown, he's started to resent Nathan who was able to pursue a career as a pro basketball player, while Lucas's ties to his family meant he couldn't. Due to an addicition to anti-depressants & alcohol, his marriage to Brooke is now falling apart.

^^^that's just the backstory.

So now, this song is really romantic & all but if you look up the meaning behind it you'll see that it's actually based on a stalker & it's more about obsession than love. Which meant I had to focus this story a lot more on Lucas than I wanted, & it's really about his past driving him crazy. He's resented Brooke for so long, & now that he's losing her, he can't stop thinking about how much he really does love her, but her turning to old friend Nathan for comfort just screws with Lucas's head even more.

So that's what's going on - all happy times are flashbacks, angsty times are current. & whether Brooke actually has an affair with Nathan is up in the air to me, it doesn't matter, either she did & or she didn't & it was all a misunderstanding. I experimented a bit with the editing in the second verse & I actually really liked it. I also used this video to try a lot of manips that's I've been thinking about for the first time, most of them seemed to turn out ok! Even got include this alternate scene of the first time BL met that I've wanted to use for a long time too! I had to cut it down a bit to fit the video, but I hope you guys enjoy it.
