Mindful Yoga - Slow Flow to Reduce Neck Tension

How often do you move with your neck in mind? This practice brings your attention to your neck throughout the class to help you release unnecessary neck tension. You'll also learn how the position of your neck and head affects the position of the rest of your spine and vice versa. Learn how to find more support and ease in your neck during your yoga practice and in your daily life. Say goodbye to text neck and hello to relief!
This full length class begins with 30 minutes of reclined movements before we transition to the hands and knees. Then we practice some standing poses including a balance pose before practicing a gentle backbend lying on the belly. We end with a seated pose to gently stretch the neck before ending in relaxation again on the back.
Props you might find helpful:
a pillow for under the head
a lightweight block or book,
support for under the hands in standing forward bends (a chair, a couple blocks, a low table)
and a cushion or bolster to sit on
