This is my favorite way to knit the chevron pattern!
PATTERN:
Cast on: 20 + 1 sts (21, 41, 61.... 241, etc.)
R1: Knit all sts
R2: kfb, *k8, k3tog, k8, m1, k1, m1, rep from * until 20 sts remain, then k8, k3tog, k8, kfb
Repeat R1, R2 as many times as needed

Terms:
kfb: knit front and back of stitch
k3tog: knit 3 together
m1: make 1 (knit into the bar between stitches)
