Railfanning LA Union Station ft. Amtrak, Metrolink, comet sets and more.

Besides railfanning the BNSF San Bernardino sub which I do a lot, I had decided to railfan LA’s Union Station which was known as the great last passenger terminal that opened back in 1939, making the station structure historic and bring rail passenger traffic throughout the country. It is not the first time I’ve been to Union Station and I’ve been there couple of times, including I went to the Rail Safety event to see Santa Fe 3751. In this video, I’ve caught some pretty decent Amtrak trains but caught some LA metro subways for the first time and the new LA metro CRRC HR4000. I also caught an NPCU leading the comet cars, including Dash-8 #509, and even an Amtrak 11 with ALC-42 with their phase 7 schemes
