On Sunday 10 May, the tenth anniversary edition of Andile Mngxitama's BLACKS CAN'T BE RACIST was launched live on Facebook. Joining the author in the discussion about the book was Ziyana Lategan and Ndumiso Dladla, who contributed to the book, and Athi Joja, series editor of the journal the essay first appeared. The discussion touched on the genesis of the essay, the influence of the essay on South African race discourse over the last ten years, and how the essay can assist in understanding contemporary challenges such as the Covid19 pandemic.
