Thailand lantern festival (DAY 1).

We were so excited to go to Chiang Mai for the Loy Krathong and Yi Peng festival.
If you have watched us from the beginning, you will remember that we also came last year however the festival was still restricted due to the pandemic so it was amazing to see how different it was going to be this year.

We were not disappointed, day one with the opening ceremony was fantastic. We didn't get to see that last year so it was a welcome surprise.

We were also really happy to spend time with our good friend Wick and his Family.
He took us to a local haunt away from the tourists. It was on the side of the Ping River and there were plenty of families sat on the riverside letting off fireworks and having good food and fun.

We also had a walk around the market and tried some nice food and drinks and played some games.

Day 1 was a success and not a NBV fail hahaha.
