This animation was developed to simplify the explanation of the Median Voter Theory through a graphical representation. It applies the theory to a non-political scenario, a neighborhood block (the voters) and two ice cream vendors (the parties), and explains its origins in Harold Hotelling's spatial model of firm strategies in a competitive marketplace.
