TRIP REPORT | Lufthansa A380 | Munich to Los Angeles

My first experience with Lufthansa A380 Economy class. My last flight with A380 was with Emirates in 2015. Before departure, I checked in via the Lufthansa app, where I selected seats in the back of the plane. I got lucky and had 3 seats to myself, 91A, 91B and 91C. The infotainment on such a young plane was terrible, completely unusable. The flight was without much turbulence, the Lufthansa service was great. The plane was earlier on the Delhi to Munich route, perhaps that was why both meals were Indian style. Unfortunately there was no choice of meals. So the person who doesn't eat Indian food was hungry for nearly 12 hours.One thing surprised me on the flight and that was the noise, it was around 65 decibels, which is really low. If I had to sum it up, I would give the following rating of 7.5 out of 10. The biggest disappointment was the constantly stuck infotainment, the food was mediocre, the seats and service were at a great level. Flying the A380 is a tremendous experience and I thank Lufthansa for putting these machines on flights like Boston, Los Angeles and Dehli. The original flight was on an A350, but that is also a great aircraft. I've done about
3x flights on it and personally I like it better than the 787 (dreamliner).
