Definition of Atom
Atom is the smallest unit of matter that cannot be further divided by ordinary chemical means. It is the basic building block of all matter in the universe

• Nucleus – center of atom, contains protons and neutrons
• Protons – positively charged particles
• Neutrons – neutral particles (no charge)
• Electrons – negatively charged particles revolving around the nucleus
