A Turkish horn/sinew composite made by Ivar Malde at Kviljo Buemakeri in Norway. The bow is about 41 inches long and draws 90 pounds at 28 inches. In this test it shot an arrow that weighs 201 grains. The arrow is 24 inches long, and was shot with an overdraw at approximately 28 inches at full draw. During the tests, the fast flight string broke at full draw, which is deadly for most bows, however these Turkish bows seem to have no trouble with this kind of stress. At full draw length the speed was measured to 359 feet per second. It will easily shoot past 500 meters, and possibly even 600. ...if you can draw it...
