Joan Jett and the Blackhearts joined Billy Idol, opening for him as he returned to the road with "It's a Nice Day to Tour ...Again!"
She brought her classic Rock 'N Roll to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee firing up the excited crowd!

However....
*Please read the following Rant and Disclaimer*

My wife and I had front row, dead center seats.
We work very hard to try and get the very best experience we can get at the concerts we attend.
I record the shows and post them to YouTube. I do this for FUN.
I love to look back on the shows we've experienced and re-live those times sharing them on YouTube.
My channel is NOT monetized at all due to music copyrights!
The artists allow my content to be published but I make nothing from it... they do!
We expected an awesome show from both bands and we did get that but early on in Joan's performance, I was suddenly asked by not one but two different security guards at the stage, eventually one Nashville police officer and a Bridgestone Arena representative (she had a Bridgestone ID lanyard around her neck) NOT to record the entire show on my phone!!
I was told I could record some but not all!!
I was shocked! What had I done different from every other show we've attended?!? Nothing!
I've NEVER been asked such a thing at any concert I've ever attended since the invention of the first camera phone! Comedy shows? Yes. Concerts? NEVER!
I asked them WHY?
They told me they couldn't say but it allegedly came from Billy's security!
I again asked them why they were singling ME out because I WAS being singled out and they couldn't say.
I asked them if they were going to tell the rest of the approximately 19,000 people in the arena that they couldn't record the show?
The Bridgestone representative actually said YES!
I'm sorry, you're going to tell everyone here they can't record the whole show??
Again, she said yes!!
Which I found incredibly hard to believe.
They did NOT ask anyone else to do what they were now asking me!
The last thing I wanted to do was get kicked out of this show I had anticipated for so long, for doing absolutely nothing wrong so I told them all I would comply with what they wanted but I was furious this was even happening!
It is for this reason that some of Joan's show is missing or cut off completely from my video because the content I missed was when my concert experience was interrupted when I was taken to the side by the police officer who said someone wanted to speak with me and I was introduced to the woman from Bridgestone Arena.
Also, after this ridiculous interruption, I was being cautious with my phone for fear of what might happen next!
Ironically, as the night went on, during Billy's time on stage, his head of security was extremely kind and gracious!
We had zero issues and he even ended up giving us his last setlist signed by Billy after passing out a select few to the fans!

With all that being said...
I'm sorry.
I would definitely have captured every single song in their entirety, had I not been pulled aside and singled out for absolutely no reason.
