There are so many fantastic places to visit in Puglia, it's hard to choose the absolute "best" village to make your home base. This video is my argument for Santa Maria al Bagno, just north of Galipoli. Why Santa Maria aB? Location! Only minutes from the shops & restaurants of Galipoli & Lecce, yet it sits along some of the most beautiful coastline in the world along the Ionian Sea. With places like Porto Selvaggio & Porto Cesareo marine Preserve just up the road, this town is a perfect home for a visit to Italy's best-known secret - Pulia!
