Welcome to Volume 15 of Railscape Adventures, and my first "Chase That Train" video. In this video we follow the ARTC inspection train, know as the "AK Set" half way up the Oaklands branchline. This was filmed during Covid restriction. Regional Victoria was allowed some freedom, but the border with NSW was shut to the general public, so Yarrawonga was as far as I was allowed to go.
Starting at Benalla where the line to Oaklands branches of the Victorian North-East Standard Gauge, we follow MK81 through Goorambat, Devonish, St James, Tungemah and Telford, before farewelling the train across the Murray River at Yarrawonga. Along the way we see some of the Silo Art of the area, along with the regional farming landscape.
MK81 is made up of GM27 & GM10, hauling AK2381, AK2382, AK2383.
