My ride on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway Train in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. Some tips from my ride:
1. Ride in the open air car.
2. Ride in the absolute front car with the bench seating facing outward.
3. Plan on sitting on separate sides for each leg of the ride. The train goes for about 35 minutes, stops, then goes back in the same direction you started from. You can catch views from both sides this way and not miss anything.
4. Show up about an hour before the train leaves, people start lining up early and the later you come the less chance of you getting in the first car.
5. DO NOT PARK IN THE LOT NEAR THE STATION. They charge $25 whether you park there for an hour or 12 hours. Find parking on the street which is only a few dollars, I paid $7 to park for about 3.5 hours.
