After 110,000 miles of road trips, open track days, and long distance speed runs, the engine suffered some damage. While running at Daytona, at 160mph, 5th gear, 6000rpm, the head gasket blew and the block was damaged.
With the help of many the new power plant is tuned and ready for another 200,000 miles. Thanks to Jon Lund, Sr. at Lund Racing, the folks at L&M Racing Engines, Michael Ayers and Jason Palmer at Paramount Speed and many others that helped to get the car up and running again in just a few short months.
