Taylor Creek is a beautiful stream running through a cypress swamp in the very southeast corner of Orange County, Florida. The creek itself is located northwest of Lake Poinsett and south of State Road 520 in the Upper St. Johns River Marsh. The best put-in for visiting this creek is either Leroy Wright Park or across the road at Lone Cabbage Fish Camp. The water in Taylor Creek is only deep enough for paddlecraft about 3 months out of the year (August - November) and sometimes even those months are difficult. A hidden gem for canoeist and kayakers to explore in Central Florida. Check out the links below for my videos of canoeing with alligators.
