Fast, loose, and tight can all describe these 17-mile laps. Besides THE BOTTLENECK, this race was superb. There were 23 bikes on my line, and I was shocked by the results. I show 1 entire lap around the course, split between laps 1 and 2, as my battery died about 3/4 through Lap 2, but I was going faster than Lap 1. Having a girl pass you and then having to catch her back will do that. Besides placement, I was happy with how I stayed up on the bike and how I still pushed my comfort zone. Thank you to all the volunteers and officials who were out there, especially the 2 guys who got my bike the final few feet up the bottleneck hill.
