The Frickashinas "Day O" The Banana Boat Song. Harry Belafonte Cover Shake Shake Shake senora.

We looked all over the internet and couldn't find a punk rock version of the Harry Belafonte classic song "The Banana Boat song, Day O". We worked tirelessly to create the perfect rock cover of this song. Once it was done, we realized we needed to add a part of the other Harry Belafonte Classic "Jump in the line" into the middle of the song. Or is it called "Shake Shake Shake Senora".

The band worked effortlessly with Felipe Patino at Green Door Studios in Denver Colorado to create this perfect blend of the two songs.

We decided to have a little party at Black N Bluhm recording studio in Denver CO to celebrate the song. We invited our best friends from Punk Rock Saves Lives and ordered queso from Illegal Petes to feed the party. A punk rock party about bananas wouldn't be complete without the world famous Punk Rock Banana Jeyy Shreddy showing up to show off his skanking and moshing skills to Beetlejuice. Jonny X became the character from our favorite childhood movie Beetlejuice. His hijinks and stunts made this video the most fun part of the entire party.

We wouldn't look half as good in this video if it wasn't for our friend Jason Herzog and his skills with his Sony camera rig. A couple sips of Malort and some Whiskey for the rest of us, and we were off to create magic. Or at least film ourselves partying with our friends.

All our thanks go out to the Denver Punk Rock community for helping us make this a night we will never forget.
