As we honor the memory of St. John Vianney, let us pray for our pastors that they may continue to live holy lives and that they may always have the zeal for the ministry.

The text of this song was written by Fr. Jean-Baptiste Henri Lacordaire, OP., a French Dominican priest who was instrumental in re-establishing the Order of Preachers in post-revolutionary France. In it, he prays that all priests may have "a heart of fire for charity." The music of the song was composed by Fr. Larry Faraon to whom we offer this as a tribute.
