"Not all convoys are crazy.........."

I shot this footage on my little dinky handhed camera back during Operation Iraqi Freedom around October 2005. When I came home sometime later, eventually uploaded this video to Youtube not really knowing what it was or what it would become. I figured, it was time to go thru and clean some of these older videos up with proper titles and better descriptions.

This was a typical convoy movement from one FOB to another during the height of the War. IEDs were about as common as flies but extremely deadly to us troops. On top of that, so were ambushes, "Sniper" fire, Mortor attacks, and even deadlier VBIEDs (Vehicle Born IEDs). Thats why you see us completely armored up and ready to rock. Even tho this route was extremely dangerous and notorious for its IEDs and ambushes.....on this day, we got to cruise thru with NO issues. Hence my original description, "Not all convoys are crazy......."
