I thought it would be nice to have a wood stove for backup heat. This is the Buck Stove 21 insert for a fireplace. It weighs 317 pounds and works great. This video is not intended to be a how to install a wood stove. I simply wanted to share the process with you. I install a 6" pipe into the chimney and use the included cap on that pipe. Then I use two different offset adapters to get the stove connected to the pipe. Thanks to levers and caster wheels I was able to get the stove from the front porch into the fireplace without having to lift the whole thing myself.
I had a terrible time with Buck Stove phone customer service. I had a total of 3 hours wait time with 4 calls. (One time I called then drove to Buck Stove 30 min and walked in the front door hung up the phone and there was an older fellow using the business phone to talk about cars.) In person the staff was very helpful and answered my questions.
