Reviewing the Skull and Bones Open Beta to avoid buying the full game

Truly the Quadruple A beta game experience of all time, and it was so much of an experience I can't even bring myself to return to the actual game to check.

Why the Beta? This Beta ended 5 DAYS before launch (8 Feb to 11 Feb) and the game itself launched on 16 Feb, with full progression continuation from where you leave off from the Open Beta.

I'm about 75% certain it's representative (?) of at the very least, the slog of an early game that I can't bring myself to complete. Doubt there's anything they could do within those 5 days anyway outside of the missing sea monsters, and a couple small bug fixes. But even then the game itself is a grind fest I can't bring myself to do as someone who literally grinds on games for hours on end.

Reason for verdict is because, at the bare minimum, it's functional, but this still made me want a refund for that 3 to 4 hours I spent on the FREE Open Beta a week before launch. Let alone play another 8 hours of the free trial before having to pay the full Quadruple A price. Nuh uh.

But let's be honest here, we all know the only way to have made this a success for the main audience was to turn it into Black Flag 2 minus the assassins.
