Front-folding Z-booms, also known as 'half' Z-booms, combine the advantages of a straight-boom crane and a Z-boom crane. They utilize the slewing mechanism of a straight-boom crane, but the crane itself takes on a Z-shaped form. The slewing center of the crane is laterally positioned in the middle of the vehicle, ensuring equal outreach on both sides of the vehicle.
