The Truth About Cheap Amazon Led grow Lights

In my third video I take a look at a range of mainly inexpensive led grow lights available on Amazon.

Did you know that the 600 watt light you are thinking of buying may not even be 60 watts? Did you know most feedback is useless as an indication of how good the light actually is? Do you know what double-chip leds are and if they are any good? You will after watching this video!

In this video I walk you through the listings for 5 different popular grow lights and show you what you need to understand about the information in the listing, how to work out what they really are, whether they are suitable for you and whether they are genuinely a good deal or not.

To the Commentators!

A Lot of people seem to be missing the point of this video. I made it to show how the specifications of most of the lights on Amazon/Ebay exaggerate and mislead to a ridiculous degree. I wanted to show people how to work out what the light you are thinking of buying actually is so you can get decent results and not be disappointed.

To all those saying “Well I have one of xxxxxx and its works fine!”
Yes these light do work BUT 1) The leds have a low efficiency, you can get the same results with a lot less wattage with better quality leds 2) they put out more heat than a light with better leds 3) because they run hotter they need more cooling and tend use cheap noisy fans 4) They have a much shorter life span that a better quality light. 5) For warranty service you usually have to return them to China which will cost more then the light.
Unless you have tried a high end led grow light you have nothing to compare them to. If you have never seen a car before even a Trabant seems good, but if you have a Mercedes the Trabant doesnt seem so great!
