I Fix my late 80's Venture truck. I bought it early 90's 2nd hand and axle was slipped already then. I just get idea how to fix it. Aluminium has about double heat expansion compared to steel, so it will help to move the axle to its original position if heat it first. It may move just with hammer, i did not try it, but just heat it up and it moved easily then.
