Wheelhouse Weekly – The Tandy 1000 We Found in the Wild

In this week’s Wheelhouse Weekly we uncover an abandoned Cold War radio station at Ethelda Bay and find a vintage Tandy 1000 computer frozen in time.

Along the way, we visit Hartley Bay, the coastal community that became famous in 2006 when locals rescued passengers from the sinking Queen of the North.

In Barnard Bay we witnessed one of nature’s wildest scenes — rivers full of salmon, wolves feeding, and we had a humpback surface right in front of us while we were enroute there! Tangaroa doesn't brake well but we don't think we hit it! It is all on video.

Before we could even anchor in our third location, Ethelda Bay, we were stopped by the RCMP and DFO. Adventure, history, and surprise encounters — this one has it all.
