AutoCAD How to Detect and Convert Objects into Blocks

In Autodesk AutoCAD 2026, updates have been made to Smart Blocks detect and convert. AutoCAD now recognizes and converts repeated geometry into blocks automatically. The Detect and Convert palette knows repeated objects and allows you to update them as existing blocks or create new ones with new attributes. Also, it has a new search function that lets you search for specific objects, accept placements, and manage block layers more easily.
