Why wait to go to the gym – you can train right where you are!
An intermediate calisthenics workout to improve strength, fitness, balance and coordination, which can be performed at home. This set of 12 bodyweight exercises alternates movement work with static endurance postures. The emphasis is on control and fluidity, maximising time under tension, and using full range of motion to simultaneously stretch and condition the body.
Bear Crab – 12 repetitions
Frog Stand – 45 seconds
Push Up & Kick – 12 repetitions
Table Pose – 45 seconds
Dive Bomber – 12 repetitions
Flying Monk – 45 seconds (each side)
Side Kick – 12 repetitions (each side)
Head Stand – 45 seconds
Calf Raise – 24 repetitions
Hare Pose – 45 seconds
Horizontal Row – 12 repetitions
Dead Hang – 45 seconds
The complete set is intended to be performed twice without breaks. If too difficult, reduce exercise repetitions and times. If not challenging enough, increase reps and duration.
