This rugby player blew up social media. Ilona Maher almost instantly, broke the internet and has become an internet sensation, via TikTok since posting about her experience playing Rugby SVNS in the Tokyo Olympics, in 2021. The women's rugby star turned cultural icon has amassed a Social Media following that dwarfs any other rugby player on the planet, both male and female with commentary and witty views from within the Olympic Village. Hailing from Burlington, Vermont, she followed in her Father's footsteps and playing rugby, Ilona found a sport that she was born to play and made it on Team USA. Not one to give up, the Olympic Influencer, after the defeat of finishing 6th in the Tokyo Olympics, Ilona and her team made history, and brought home the Bronze from Paris Olympics 2024.
