Chiraa Night Drive Tour E02 on N12 Wenchi Sunyani Road 4K

A 4K night drive tour E02 of Chiraa town of the N12 Sunyani - Wenchi road in the Sunyani West Municipality, Bono Region of Ghana.

History has it that Otumfour Osei Tutu I, who succeeded his uncle Obiri Yeboah, avenged {his} death by waging another war against Jaman Akwamus later Dormaas .
The Dormaas were taken unawares and so they suffered defeat. A large number of the people immediately left Suntreso near Bantama in the Ashanti Region, for they hated to offer themselves as hostages to the Asante nation.

Consequently, they founded Bomaa, with the view to making it a sort of refuge .. The Bomaas .. later moved on to Kontraagyeso .. . Some of them, however, chose to settle at Abesem, .. other from Kontraagyeso still migrated a little further to found a town called Kyiraa (Chiraa ) - 'yen nkyere ha' (we shan’t stay here for long). Chiraa later became the central market for the people within that area drawing people form places like Wenchi and Techiman."

Chiraa has the Chiraa Senior school, Chiraa Hospital, Chiraa Police station,Aduana palace, Chiraa market, many church denominations like the Methodist, SDA, Presby and the Roman Catholic.

There is a Mankrang Forest reserve at the back of the town that separates Bono Region, Ahafo Region and Ashanti Region respectively.
