This series is a bunch of drum covers I recorded in one short evening, battling with time restraint, broken earphones with short cables and a bass drum which just didn't want to stay still in one place - I had a lot of fun anyway.
Drums were actually the first instrument that I learned, shortly before I switched to keyboard. I still loved to play but considering you always need a big, soundproof area to set it up and make noise I barely ever did play over the years. I consider myself lucky I even got to record some on this day (and I want to continue playing and recording more in the future, definitely!)
This drumset isn't mine but of a friend.
Being used to the piano the most, I did realise that I need to adapt more to the different role that the drumset takes. You can't be as wishy-washy inexact with your timing and hits like on the keys, you need to be tight and on the point for the beat to hit best.
