This vlog was filmed on Saturday, December 6, 2025, and it turned out to be one of those simple but really good days.
Thrift shopping wasn’t originally planned, but we ended up going to BOOKOFF to look for winter clothes since it’s starting to get really cold here in Japan. We first went to Kabe to pick up my friends, then headed to BOOKOFF Bairin in Asaminami, Hiroshima.
For those who don’t know, BOOKOFF is a second-hand thrift store in Japan that sells clothes, shoes, bags, and many other items that are still in very good condition. Personally, I find BOOKOFF much cheaper than 2nd STREET thrift shops. We were looking specifically for puffer jackets and winter clothes, and I was lucky enough to find two puffer jackets, a beanie, and a semi-formal cardigan that I can wear in the classroom. All of them were branded and still looked almost new. I spent around ¥4,000, which is about ₱1,360 in Philippine pesos.
After shopping, we went to Kura Sushi (Wraquo Midorii branch) in Hiroshima for lunch. It was my first time eating at Kura Sushi, and I was really excited because my students often talk about how much they love it. It’s very affordable, and with a budget of around ¥1,500 (about ₱500), I was already full and satisfied.
Overall, it was a really good day. It was simple, fun, and meaningful. Always grateful to God for allowing us to experience moments like these. 🤍
