Sydney Uni Battle of the Bands: Final Heats 2022

Following immense success in the late 2000’s, the USU reinvented the formerly named, Sydney Uni Band Comp to Battle the Bands in 2022.

There were two rounds of heats which saw five bands make it through to the finals:
• The Jam Sandwiches
• Sonnet & The Breadboys
• No Snakes
• Chuey
• The Bernies

Both rounds were played at the iconic location on University of Sydney grounds, Manning Bar (owned and operated by USU).

To close the finals and announce the winners, 2007 Sydney Uni Band Comp finalists and iconic Australian indie-rock band The Jezabels, returned to the iconic Manning Bar where we saw Chuey be crowned Battle of the Bands winner for 2022.

The winning band went on to play at USU’s music festival, Someday Soon.
