My name is Amy Weaver, and I used to be a racehorse trainer in Newmarket, England & Chantilly, France, but I got bored of that, so I ran away to sea to be a card dealer instead. To let everyone know where I’d disappeared to and what I was up to, I decided to write a blog, because I was too lazy to message and reply to everyone individually. #Sorry #TrueStory
Here’s how the blog got its name:
As The Beach Boys sang (although personally I prefer the Muppets version • The Muppets Sing Kokomo ) “Aruba, Jamaica, ooh I want to take ya to
Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego, baby why don’t we go
Ooh I want to take you down to
Kokomo, we’ll get there fast and then we’ll take it slow
That’s where we want to go, way down in Kokomo”
Those were just some of the places that I visited, since October 2015, during my first 9 months as a casino dealer for Norwegian Cruise Lines, on the good ship Norwegian Dawn. I blogged about it daily, every single goddam day, for 240+ day and weirdly lots of people from all over the world logged on to read it and still do to this day.
So I decided to record the entire blog, day by day in an audiobook / blogcast format so that you can listen to the merriment & mayhem on your way to work or when you can’t sleep at night.
