We have been testing the Matrix shower screen by @del_creatives for the past few months. Overall, we have been pretty happy with it.

🔹️The Matrix Shower Screen has patented design which allows the water to hit the coffee puck in a softer way at the beginning of the extraction.
With straight 9 bar espresso machines, you can notice that the majority of the shots extract in a better way. That being said, it is a bit more difficult to clean and it creates slightly more pressure on the lever. Accordingly, it will increase the need for routine lubrication of the lever with foodgrade grease.
In addition, the water distribution without the resistance is not even. Nonetheless, the Overall feedback is definitely positive 💯🤍

As for the next step, we want to test other available shower screens.

As an initial and early feedback, both the IMS and E&B shower screens look great. Both are Nano coated for easier cleaning and the holes looks even and well cut.

Considering the accurate machining in both shower screens, the water distribution during the extraction and under pressure will definitely be an even one.
We wanted to start testing with the E&B Lab shower screen as it gave better water distribution as you can notice from the video.
