Hey guys, in this Adobe Illustrator tutorial video I show you how to quickly and easily create contour cut lines from vector (EPS/AI/PDF/SVG etc) as well as raster images (JPEG/PNG etc). These cut lines will help you if you are trying to create a cut line for use with you Roland, Mimaki, Summa, Graphtec, vinyl cutters amongst others..
In the first half of the tutorial we take a vector image and create a contour cut line using various simple techniques including welding, ungrouping, release compound path, offset path etc. You will also see how to add a useful print border for your artwork to account for any print/cut inaccuracies.
In the second half we do the same thing for a raster image (JPEG in this case) using image trace, ungrouping, release compound path etc.
