Why it's crucial to know about intervals in Blues

Intervals are so important in the Blues and not considered enough in my opinion. If you want to create strong lines this means you need to take account of the chords you are playing over and follow them using chord tones which is what intervallic playing helps with. You then add 'tension tones' to, you've guessed it, create tension!
