This piece was arranged by the renowned Central Conservatory of Music guzheng professor, Yuan Sha, based on two folk songs of Yunnan Province: "Phoenix-tail Bamboo Under the Moonlight" and "Midu Mountain Songs." "Beyond the Clouds" skillfully blends these two Yunnan folk songs, giving it a harmonious tune and captivating melody that brings a refreshing feeling to the listeners. It evokes the lush bamboo forests, unique Dai-style buildings scattered among them, and the faint sound of gourd strings drifting from the bamboo grove, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere. The music also incorporates the accompaniment of Conga drum, adding a rich local flavor to the entire piece.
此曲是由著名古箏演奏家袁莎老師根據《月光下的鳳尾竹》和《彌渡山歌》改編而成。
《雲之南》將兩首雲南民謠巧妙融合，以其悠揚的曲調、娓娓動聽的旋律，給人心曠神怡的感覺；讓人不由得聯想起那鬱鬱蔥蔥的鳳尾竹林，別具一格的傣家樓閣撒落在竹林間，竹林中隱隱飄出陣陣葫蘆絲，悠悠抑揚，輕清淡雅。樂曲也加入了康加鼓加以伴奏，讓整首音樂更有濃鬱的地方韻味。
