Meet director Ryan Casey and writer/producer/sound designer Liam Uhlmann as they share the sound considerations that went into Gatorland.
Sound is essential in world-building and character performance. From the moment the script is developed, it becomes clear what the fundamental essence is to convey. The duo explain how the play between loudness and silence can communicate a mood and headspace, how atmos fills in the visual gaps, allowing the viewer to sense a world behind the frame, and how the sound design and mix bring all the elements of the story together on screen.
